Wow!!! This is awesome! I've also wanted to hike the AT for some time now, and I'm planning to do at least some of it with a friend during my gap year. It sounds like you had a whole lot of troubles, esp. with injuries and the weather, but you had a pretty interesting (in a good way!) time of it overall. Has this experience made you want to go and hike the whole thing, or did it put you off the idea?
